GOLF BATTERIES will Not Last without charging ?

You must not store Golf Batteries whilst discharged

Lead acid AGM batteries are a great product, they have been going for over 100 years. Although they may be under threat from today’s lithium-ion batteries, We at Batteriesontheweb believe that they are hear to stay(although one or two golf/mobility products are using Lithium batteries) and indeed are used on electric cars driving side by side. The golf batteries used for golf buggies are either, AGM or GEL and we have have supplied golfers with cheap batteries for the last 10 years, with mass production (mainly from the East and China) lowering the cost of golf batteries. Customers (golfers) are able to buy golf batteries online through the internet.
The modern golf battery has been durable and dependable when the battery has been used correctly, and not just thrown in the back of their car for a couple of week after a game of golf, without recharging the golf battery .The discharge rate of the golf battery is amongst the lowest in the battery world.
This means that the golfer can totally dis-charge his battery and the battery will recover without damage to the cells on recharging, this is so even if you use “GEL” or “AGM” batteries. One of the problems that we come across from golfers is that the golf battery that they are using is not big enough for the job. Especially places like West Yorkshire which are in the foot hills of the Pennines (small mountain range in the UK) were the golf courses are very hilly and so the golfers are going to require the next size up. So you may need a bigger golf battery if your golf course is hilly rather than flat. Also the size of the course, some are bigger than others. It does not take much figuring that you may need a bigger golf battery for the larger courses. If you can not fit a larger golf battery then I recommend that you take two fully charged batteries with you.

Are your golf batteries GEL or AGM ?

Also “GEL” and“AGM” golf batteries require different types of chargers and therefore it is important that you stick to the same type of battery as when the trolley was new, golfers seem to look for a “cheap battery online” and go for the AGM battery ,when a GEL battery which are more expensive, is the correct battery for them, thus possibly damaging the battery with the incorrect charger, these are all points to look out for.
Finally it is very important to look after the golf battery in the non playing months, after use I recommend that the battery be fully charged and maintained in this condition for the dormant period
also you should replace your charger if it becomes old and don’t be tempted to use car batteries, they are made of a different construction are are not suitable to replace your golf batteries and recharge your golf batteries after every game,do not leave them in the boot of your car for two weeks ?.
