you may have to change the Battery a few times
During the lifetime of your car you will probably have to change the battery a few times. This can be because the battery has had a premature life due a mistake by the driver, for example having a regular drain on the battery, thus reducing its life or simply leaving the light on too many times and draining the battery until it becomes dysfunctional. The fact that the battery is dead doesn’t help on cold winters morning.
The general rule is if you are having battery problems of any kind, then get a new battery before your old one lets you down completely.
What battery to buy??
In my opinion there are two options. If you are thinking of changing your car in the near future then look for a cheap battery. Cheap batteries will usually last you at least a year, and you can buy these batteries online, with a next day delivery. The cheap batteries tend to have screw tops that can be removed to top up the electrolyte. Some are claimed to be maintenance free but if they have screw tops then I don’t think they will be.
We find that the sealed maintenance free battery is the best choice for the motorist who intends to keep his car. This battery is very low maintenance and requires no topping up at all. It also contains plates that are made from a calcium alloy material and not solid lead, this ensures that the electrolyte does not evaporate and aids in the fact that the battery does not require any topping up.
Most car batteries are easy to identify when buying a replacement. The part number is generally on the top of the battery. If you cant see this you can contact an online battery specialist who will be only too glad to help, the whole process is very simple and you should have your new car battery for the following day and on the road again.
