Most battery companies market their own brand names and as stated before do not manufacture the batteries. However this is not a problem because the majority of battery companies are of excellent quality and offer various guarantees and warranties, We at batteriesontheweb have a good reputation at honouring our warranties. We either replace or refund your faulty battery.
There are different types of companies that you can buy a battery from. The old way was to visit you local garage, this in my opinion can still apply, most garages will still carry a small stock of batteries, but these days they usually order direct from auto factors, such as Andrew Pages. Many garages test your battery during your major service and recommend a replacement battery but in our experience the client usually ignores your advice and will not not have a battery fitted, until they get let down at a later date, especially when money is tight .
Another way of buying your battery would be from an accessory shop, or an auto centre, such as Pellon auto centre. These businesses usually carry a larger stock and will fit the battery for you but you will probably have to pay a higher price .
An advantage of this though is that you may be in urgent need for a battery and you will usually get better service if you have any problems with warranties, this also applies to your local garage.
Buying your battery “online” a good Idea.
Another good battery source is from the internet there are many good battery companies selling products, at the best prices. The batteries usually arrive the next day and are well packaged. The only problems that I have experienced is when we have bad weather, mainly snow, the carrier companies come to grind on the secondary roads that they dont grit any more and this delays the battery arrival by a few days, but in general this method is very good you get a good battery at a discounted price.
A good choice would be Pennine King Power . I would like to and by giving you some advice on what to look for when buying a battery online or at your local garage/auto centre. Look for a maintenance free battery, with at least a three year warranty, the make is normally unimportant because as stated earlier most batteries are brand names and are made by the same manufactures, some people do want to choose a brand, such as Varta, Lucas is our number one choice for a leading name brand, this is all right but expect nearly twice the price.

Maintenance free batteries are known as MF, they are sealed and usually have a battery condition eye, this allows you to see the battery condition at a glance, MF batteries are also usually of a better standard . To finalise if you are in a hurry then get your battery from a garage or an auto centre, if not you will get a better deal from an internet shop, also go for a maintenance free battery as they are usually of better quality.
