Its come to our attention that most of our customers are using cheap batteries. Less and less people are fitting batteries made by the leading battery companies. Cheap batteries are nothing new, I remember back in the 1990s when we were in the middle of an earlier recession. I worked at the time for an outlet that was owned by An independent tyre and battery dealer in Birstall  Batley West Yorkshire. We were basically forced to sell the company products in other words Exide batteries.

However our sales deteriorated because the normal motorists could not afford to buy the Exide batteries. Eventually we had a sales meeting and thrashed it out with the area sales manager. The management were able to supply us with a brand named Pennine these were better “car battery prices” to offer to the public. Pennine were a good product and we were able to offer, “cheap car batteries”. Things soon picked up and we were able to claw back some lost sales by selling cheap batteries, the Pennines.

This recession is no different , most of our customers want cheap batteries. The big difference in today’s market place is the advance of the internet. This has had a huge effect on the online batteries market, offering “cheap batteries online”. We have had to change all our selling practises to compete on the internet and have brought in new brands of batteries. This includes the Ducelier batteries.

We have fitted this battery on our own company vehicles and tested them in all kinds of weather, with really good results, we now know that this is one of the better brands in the “economy” battery bracket and can fit it to our customers cars with no fear of problems. Some cheap batteries fitted to the larger cars tend to go flat very quickly but we find that the Ducelier has no problems with coping in all kinds of conditions even when fitted to larger cars and indeed vans.
