strangest use ever for BATTERIES ?

Batteries are used for the most unusual things??

This is one of our busiest times of the year for selling batteries online. Most of the time all goes well, but the other day we made a mistake.
A customer rang up and said that we had sent him the wrong batteries. He had orderedcheap twin post batteries for marine and boat usage and he had been sent single post batteries the same as is fitted to cars. He was very polite, but needed the correct batteries.
I immediately set a plan in action and loaded the correct batteries on a van and off I went to Northumberland. It is our policy to make amends to any delivery that is our fault the following day, and this was no exception.
I reached the meeting point where the exchange was to take place, in a pub car park. The guy turned up in his Landrover and we swapped the batteries.

I had a short conversation with the guy and I asked him what thecost of car batteries were to be used for, I thinking that they were for a boat. But I was amazed to find that he wanted to use them for bang machine to frighten “SEALS” from the guys “SALMON NETS”.

The batteries must power some sort of charge that sets off a bang from some sort of machine, similar to a bird scarer.

The seals steel the salmon from the nets and the fishermen are not very happy. Anyway a great experience for me, and I had a lovely view of Holy Island and sea, and the guys was extremely happy with his batteries.
